Crazy, Stupid, Love.

What is love? Is it crazy? Is it stupid? Is it both? Or neither of them?

Crazy, Stupid, Love. is a romantic comedy directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, written by Dan Fogelman, and starring Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Marisa Tomei and Kevin Bacon.

Cal (Steve Carell) is living the American Dream, until his wife (Julianne Moore) asks for divorce. His world is turned around: appartment instead of house, one woman for many women, his old best friend for Jacob...

Jacob,  the attractive womanizor who beds every woman he sets his eyes on, decides to help Cal to move on. He shows him to flirt and how to get the attention of women. Cal discovers a new world, but he misses his previous life.

This movie is a story of different relationships, of different people, who look for love.

In 3 words? Fun, spontaneous, entertaining.

It fills your heart with warmth at every scene.

The script is witty, all the pieces of the puzzle fit in perfectly.

A Walk to Remember

Do you enjoy romance movies? Then you shouldn’t miss Adam Shankman’s breathtaking movie: A Walk to Remember. The movie is based on the homonymus novel by Nicolas Sparks.
The movie is about Landon Carter, a popular teenager (Shane West), who is forced to do community service for committing a prank. The community service draws him toward Jamie Sullivan, a girl whom he has known all his life but never really talked to. He is also assigned to participate in the Drama Club spring play and struggles learning the lines. So, he asks Jamie for help. From then on, he draws nearer to her until he falls in love with the serious, conservative, and far from cool Jamie.
However, as their relationship develops, Jamie must keep a big secret from Landon that would destroy their future together.
A Walk to Remember has an amazing script and the strong performances from the West and Moore. I loved it, and I think that this movie would please a much wider audience one could expect, including adults, even men say that they need a tissue for the ending.

Twilight Review

“And so the Lion fell in love with the Lamb.”
(Twilight: 274)

Twilight is a young adult romance and fantasy novel by Stephanie Meyer. It is the story of two star-crossed lovers that have a breathtaking relationship.
I enjoyed this book a lot. It kept me hooked after every page. I really liked the metaphors the author uses and the development of both the story and the characters’ personality.
Twilight has been nominated to ALA Best Books for Young Adults and awarded with New York Times Editor’s Choice, New York Times Best Seller, and First on Amazon’s “Best of the Decade…So Far”.
If you liked A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray, The Silver Kiss and Blood and Chocolate by Annete Curtis Klause, and Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, you might want to try this book. These books are similar, but Twilight has an intense romance with a little mystery to it.
Twilight reminded me of Romeo and Juliet because of their passionate love. I also liked the metaphor the author uses with the situations and conflicts that occur in the plot. Above all, it is very interesting how the characters are developed in the story and how they change with the situations that are presented onto them.
“Propelled by suspense and romance in equal parts [this story] will keep readers madly flipping the pages of Meyer’s tantalizing debut.”
The story is about Isabella Swan (know as Bella), who decides to leave the sunny Phoenix, Arizona for the rainy Forks, Washington to live with her father, who with she spent her early summers with her because of her parent’s divorce. Bella makes this decision to let her mom travel with her new husband, Phil, a minor league baseball player. Bella never had too many friends, but in her new high school she is quickly accepted.
At first, Bella thinks Forks is boring, rainy and too green. The exception is the mysterious, beautiful, and enigmatic Edward Cullen, who sits next to her in biology class. His family is described as inhumanly beautiful since they have a very reserved reputation. Her first encounter with Edward made her think that he hates her, but doesn’t understand why. This makes Bella unable to stop thinking about him and his actions. Through careful observation, she discovers that Edward is not normal. There is something special about him. She even makes theories about him to explain his supernatural behavior.
Some readers have become addicted to Twilight.

“I wasn't interesting. And he was. Interesting . . . and brilliant . . . and mysterious . . . and perfect . . .
and beautiful . ... and possibly able to lift full-sized vans with one hand.”

Twilight has three other books that follow: New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn
